Benny Baumann Obituary
Benny was a graduate of St. Luke's Catholic School and was employed later in life at St. Luke's Catholic Church and School. Benny was formerly employed at Covenant Transport. Benny enjoyed racing motorcycles from an early age, Nascar racing and was exceptionally skilled at woodworking.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 24 at 10am at St. Luke's Catholic Church located at 4603 Manitou, San Antonio, Texas. Due to Benny's love for animals, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a contribution to the animal care shelter of your choice. I just discovered this today (December 2017). Benny and I were friends many years ago, as small children. His dad and my dad were friends in the Army (Gary Jackson). I was sad to hear this. We always wondered throughout the years about this family. I send prayers to everyone. I wish we could have reconnected.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Benny. I knew Benny from our high school days in San Antonio and he was truly a kind and sweet soul. My deepest condolences are with his family during this time.

Dear Baumann Family, I am shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Bennie Baumann. Bennie and the Baumann family have been a friend to me and the Garza family. I will always remember Bennie for his fantastic love for life and the smile and laughter that he brought to the St. Luke's community and his many friends. I will always remember the family videos of Bennie racing his motorcycle. I always thought that we would have more time Bennie. You will be greatly missed and truly remembered. It has been my honor and pleasure to have known you. God speed for your wonderful soul because God will have an eternity of joy with you there in heaven.
