Bentley Carson was affectionately known as "Ben". He was born on September 26, 1927 and raised in Jamaica. He migrated to England in 1952 seeking employment opportunities. It was there that he met and married the love of his life, Corriene Brown. They were married on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1956. Their union produced three children: twin sons, Garry & Anthony and daughter, Beverly.
After 35 years of marriage Corriene passed away in 1990. His son Anthony passed in 1994. After being widowed for 4 years, Bentley married again to Nellie Victoria Rose. This marriage lasted 20 years until Nellie passed in 2015.
Bentley possessed a strong work ethic. In England he was employed by General Motors as a factory worker. In 1971 he came to the United States with his family and was employed as a security officer at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY until he retired. He uplifted himself in real estate and investments.
Ben had a good heart; he loved and cared for his family. He leaves cherished memories with his two surviving children: Garry and Beverly; four grandchildren: Jamal, Candace, Kisha and Andrew; six great-grandchildren: Tyra, Mali, Nina, Alissa, and twins: Jordan and Jayden. He also leaves behind two sisters: Norma and Claire; nieces and nephews: Carol, Opal, George, Mark and Howard; as well as a host of friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5-7pm at All County Funeral Home in Stuart, FL. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 with visitation from 11am-12pm, and service from 12pm-2pm at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City, FL, followed by interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL. Arrangements are entrusted to All County Funeral Home & Crematory - Treasure Coast Chapel.
