Bernice Edna Petty Born May 13, 1928 in Scio, Ohio, completed her life's journey on March 16, 2016 in San Rafael. She was a sixty-seven year resident of Marin County, loving wife of Arther W. Petty for over 50 years, and caring mother of Michael A. Petty of Novato, Judy Lynn Gutierrez of Walnut, and Robert Steven Petty of Shingle Springs, along with Cathy McGee, Mischelle Morgan and Sharon Snyder, regarded as daughters. Bernice tended to her garden, was an advocate of wildlife, avid reader, a collector antiquities, artist and poet. She is survived by her two daughters-in-law, son-in-law, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren-plus 2 on the way, caregivers; Lea Molina, Rose Paglinawan, Mitus Wiborg, relatives and friends. Services are at Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael at 11:00 am on March 29, 2016 - directly following will be are a reception in celebration of Bernice.
