October 11, 1929 - August 10, 2024 Memphis, TN. A native of Cardwell MO, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. (Red) and Edna Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John David Tutterow, a sister, Barbara Metheny of Leachville, AR and brother, Charles Leonard of West Columbia, SC. Mrs. Tutterow is survived by her two daughters, Lauri Tutterow Draughon (Terry) of Collierville, TN and Dawn Tutterow Connell (Larry) of Charlotte, NC; her seven grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Jason Bell of Nashville, TN, Brittany Bell of Lexington, KY, Hunter Clark (Morgan) of Charlotte, NC, Morgan Bell of Memphis, TN, Caitlin Connell of Charlotte, NC, Jarrod Draughon (Aleksandra) of Seattle, WA, Cathleen Summey (Jarrod) of Charlotte, NC and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Tutterow was a volunteer for many philanthropic organizations. She was a founding Board Member of Women of Motion Picture Industry, American Business Women Association, Memphis Arts Festival and the Highland Area Renewal Corporation. She served in many capacities at Trezevant Manor and was honored by the board of directors as Volunteer of the Year in 2008. Mrs. Tutterow was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and previously served in many volunteer positions at Underwood United Methodist Church.

A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 480 S Highland St, Memphis, TN 38111.

I remember when John and Bernice moved to Trezevant. We became friends instantly. Bernice and l remained friends after my 2020 retirement. What a bright, lovely and classy lady! She will be missed! Rick Hazelgrove
