Bertha Hoag Obituary
Born on Monday, December 23, 1914 to Max and Sara Bever of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Bertha was a resident of Wallingford since 1947.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Joseph J. Hoag. The second youngest of eight sisters and one brother, she was a graduate of Fitchburg High School in Massachusetts in 1932. A talented dancer and singer, she became a regular performer with U.S.O. shows during the big band era. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Hoag of Wallingford and Dr. Stephen W. Hoag and his wife, Gina, of Meriden; granddaughters, Kathleen Hoag of Hamden and Maureen DiSorbo with her husband Joseph, great-granddaughter, Ella, and great-grandson, Max, of Hamden.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lyman Hall High School - Hall of Fame, c/o Amy Labas, Director of Athletics, Lyman Hall High School, Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, CT 06492. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext.

Dear Tommy and Steve:
We are very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed seeing your mom, her kindness, her positive outlook on everything, her stories of her growing up in Fitchburg. We will miss her. May her soul be bound in the bind of life.
