Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Beth Brown Johnson, 88 returned to her Heavenly home on, July 2, 2018. Beth was born on, April 10, 1930 to Jesse Frank and Alice Medell Brown in Ogden, Utah. She married her eternal sweetheart, John D. Johnson on December 4, 1948, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Beth grew up in Ogden, moving to Salt Lake City after she and John were married. They lived in their home sweet home for the past 70 years. Beth was active in the community, including serving in the PTA when her boys were young. Beth was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in several callings in the Cannon Stake. She especially loved working on her family history and supporting her husband in various church callings. Beth was a fabulous cook; her family especially loved her baked goods that she hid in film tins. Her grandchildren's favorites include: triangle sandwiches and potato salad. One of Beth's favorite places was their family property, Rocky Pines, where family and friends still gather today. Beth left a lasting legacy, teaching others the importance of family, faith and service. Beth is survived by her loving husband, John, her sons: Dennis (Linda) Johnson and Doug (Kathy) Johnson. 15 Grandchildren, 12 great granddaughters, 11 great grandsons, and 1 great great-granddaughter. Beth is also survived by her brother, Jay (Doty) Brown, sister, Leah (Jim) Stitt and many nieces and nephews. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, great granddaughter Brenna Hallett, brothers: Stan and Ray Brown and several brother and sister-in-laws. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sheridan at South Jordan for their care and support.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cannon Stake Center, 934 Fremont Avenue in Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan. Another viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.

Hello: I am Belva Rawson Moyle. My father was Frank V. Rawson a first cousin to Beth. Beth & I have been corresponding for a number of years with our family history. We have met several times to share history. I was just looking at the obituaries for a friend in Logan & there was Beth. Her services are going on right now. I want Beth's family to know what a fine lady she was & is. I really enjoyed getting to know her. Please accept my sincere condolences in your loss. Leah Stitt knows me & my husband, Dr. Moyle taught some of the family at Weber State Univ. He passed away a year ago. Please know I have fond memories of your wife, mother & sister to Jay & Leah.

I'm so sad to know that we've lost our Beth. She was always an angel, so this will be no transition for her. She was always patient and kind, quiet in her serving. She will be missed!
