Betty Jean Hasler

Betty Jean Hasler, 82, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away at 12:50 PM Friday, May 2, 2014 at the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.  She was born on April 28, 1932 in Noble, Illinois.  She was the daughter of Russell and Elsie (Travis) Patterson.  Betty married Harold L. Hasler on September 2, 1950 in Noble, Illinois.  Betty and Harold moved to Peoria in 1960.  She worked for the Department of Agriculture, Social Security, Dr. Clayton and Great Plains Orthopedics.  Betty retired in 2009.  She was a member of the First Christian Church of Peoria.  Betty was preceded in death by her twin brother Bill Patterson;daughter in law, Janis Hasler,;grandsons Christopher Hasler and Scott Peters; granddaughter Sarah Peters, brother in laws Robert Ulm and Alvin Conner and sister in law Louetta Conner.  She is survived by her husband Harold Hasler, daughter, Jane (Mike) Peters of Bartonville, Illinois, her two sons, Roger Hasler of Bartonville, Illinois, and Rodney (Susan) Hasler of Escondido, California.  She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, one great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.    Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday May 5, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Peoria.  The Rev. Karen Merrick will officiate.  Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria and 30 minutes prior to services at the church on Monday.  Burial will be in the Swan Lake Memory Garden.  Memorials may be made to her church or the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home.  You may create and online condolence at www.davison-fulton.com.
