Betty Rose Lewkowski was born in Illinois in 1928, moved to Texas in the 1950's, retired to Colorado in 2022, and passed away on March 03, 2025 at the age of 97. She is preceded in heaven by her two eldest children, Carolyn and James Lewkowski.

She is survived by her remaining children, Bruce Lewkowski and his wife Rose, Barbara Lewkowski, and Pauline Wantland; her grandchildren, Lawrence Lewkowski, Alexander Lewkowski and his wife Naomi, Benjamin Lewkowski and his wife Ruth, Robyn Hammans and her husband Josh, and Stephen Wantland; and her six great-grandchildren, Amarantha, Luke, Kylie, Amelia, Logan, and Savannah; and Bobby Burville.

Betty Rose lived a remarkable life full of music, love, and adventure. She sang in many church choirs in the DFW area which boasted the attendance of cardinals and bishops. She attended a special choir class given by Roger Wagner and was invited to sing with his choral group.

She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, theatre, and watching her family's recitals, and performances. She encouraged all their endeavors and dreams.

Betty Rose traveled as much as she could given that she worked for Braniff International and later retired from American Airlines at age 84. She has been to almost all 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii, went on two African photographic safaris, several western European countries, Great Britain, kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland, went to Saint Petersburg, Russia, took a cruise with friends to South America, and her last major trips was with her daughter Carolyn to the Panama Canal.

Truly a remarkable life. Service will be held at her local church St. Michael's in Calhan, Colorado.

Betty Lewkowski was my cousin and godmother. She was the best role model for living the Catholic Life. I cherish the memories of our short but concise conversations about living as a Christian. I am proud to share our family ancestry. I know she was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus and Aunt Sister Margaret Mary Pocewicz and reunited with Carolyn and James as well as the entire Family Tree: Pocewicz, Wolbeck, Schuster, Coyle, Fritz, Lewkowski, and all.

My mother, Delores Schuster, and the Schuster family Followed the Pocewicz & Lewkowski Family from Chicago to Dallas in the early 1950s. My Grandmother, Francis Schuster, worked at Braniff Airlines with her niece, Betty Lewkowski. I have great memories of Christmas Holidays in the '60s & '70s with Betty and her kids. The place off Northwest Highway near the Athena condos was always a fun visit. We often visited with Uncle Joe & Aunt Florence Pocewicz too.

Betty and her aunt and uncle, my Grandparents, Bill and Francis Schuster, vacationed together in many places worldwide. It was always a special treat to gather after their trips, hear all the stories about the adventures, and view the photographs.

Sandy and I express condolences to Barbara, Bruce, Polly, and their families.
