Betty Menne Obituary
April 9, 1934 - January 25, 2025
Betty Jean Menne passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 90. Born on April 9, 1934, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Betty lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob, with whom she shared many cherished years. Betty is survived by her four children: Paul (Judy) Menne of Lee's Summit, Missouri; Carol Menne of Tempe, Arizona; Cathy Bittner of Naperville, Illinois; and Patty Menne-Wasik (Ray) of Tempe, Arizona. She also leaves behind her sister Elaine (Court) Shenkel of Chattanooga, Tennessee; six grandchildren-LeAnne, Laura, David, Mark, Lisa, and Christopher-and nine great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Betty had a zest for life and enjoyed bowling, traveling, and cruising with her friends. For over five decades on Catalpa Lane, she could often be found sitting on her front porch during happy hour with neighbors while savoring her signature Manhattan. Her warmth and camaraderie left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Betty is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. In accordance with her wishes, she will be laid to rest alongside her husband privately.
May the memory of Betty Jean Menne bring solace to those who loved her and inspire fond recollections of a life well-lived.

Menne family: Your mom was always fun to be around. She had a great memory and would have me smiling or laughing every time I would see her. I have a smile right now as I think about her.
