Beulah McKnight, age 92, of Memphis, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2006, at her residence.

Mrs. McKnight was born April 26, 1914, in Munford, Tenn., to Walter L. and Carrie M. Timbs. She was a graduate of Munford High School. She and her husband, Chester McKnight, owned a farm in Gallaway, Tenn., until his death in 1974. During World War II, she worked in an ammunition plant making shells for the war effort. In addition to running the farm, she drove a school bus to Braden School for more than 20 years. She was also a licensed beautician, owned her own beauty shop in Gallaway and worked as a beautician at Arlington Developmental Center. She was a member of Cornerstone Church on Whitten Road in Memphis.

Mrs. McKnight was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Robert Timbs, and two sisters, Gladys England and Jean Sherrill.

She is survived by her sister and caregiver, Ruby England of Memphis, Tenn., with whom she lived for more than 30 years; her brother, Chester C. Timbs of Tyler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Munford Funeral Home, Millington Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Scobey officiating.

Interment will be in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, or the Belinda Timbs Memorial Fund c/o The Baddour Center, P.O. Box 97, Senatobia, MS 38668.
