Funeral services for Beva Ann (Johnson) Anderson, 51, of Rock Island, will be held Tuesday, April 18, at Second Baptist Church, 919 6th Avenue, Rock Island. The visitation will be 12 p.m. and the funeral services will follow immediately at 2 p.m. Please send all memorials to the church.
Beva was called home at 4:30 p.m. at Trinity West Medical Center on Friday, April 14, 2006. She passed with a loving farewell and family at her side and will be laid to rest at Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island, with the respectful consideration and support of Orr's Mortuary.
She was born October 23, 1954, in Louisiana, Mo., and raised in Rock Island by her parents, Clarence and Mildred Huff, and educated in the Rock Island School system. She attended Grant Elementary, Franklin Jr. High and graduated from Rock Island High School. Baptized in 1963, she was spiritually nourished at Second Baptist Church, also in Rock Island. Beva was married on June 24, 1972, and the union produced two children, LaShanda and Makeesha Anderson, both currently residing in Rock Island. In her youth she was an outstanding track athlete and loved music and her family throughout her life. She worked at Trinity Medical Hospital in the dietary department and most recently at Johannes Bus Service as a monitor.
Beva is survived by her parents; her two children; sisters, Emily Ellis, Linda Shivers (Richard), of Rock Island, and Debbie Shivers (Curtis), of Milan, Ill. She is also survived by four brothers, Kim Huff, of Rock Island, Billy Huff, of Moline, Bobby (Sheryl) Johnson, of Lucas, Texas, and Bruce Huff (Evelyn), of Houston, Texas. Survivors also include a whole host of aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Nelson, and nephews, Kenyata Ellis and Tyson Shivers.
Beva will live in her family's hearts and minds forever.

My prayers and thoughts will continue to be with you. I know it is not easy to lose family so close and dear to your hearts. But God knows best even though we wonder sometimes. Continue to trust Him, for He is the great Comforter.

Aunt Mil, Uncle Clarence and all the family. Beva will be deeply missed. She will no longer be in pain, she will be resting with our Heavenly Father. I am so thankful that our Beva was a Christian and kenw our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God be with the entire family during this time.
