Beverly Bandini Ricci Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 12, 2025.
Palm Desert - Beverly Elizabeth Bandini Ricci of Palm Desert, California, passed away peacefully at her home on July 26, 2025, at the age of 75, after a courageous eight year battle with cancer. Beverly faced her illness with the same strength, grace and determination that characterized her entire life.

Born on June 30, 1950, in Oakland, California, Beverly was the cherished daughter of the late Leo and Anna Bandini. She grew up in Clairton, Pennsylvania and Richmond, California and she graduated from Richmond Union High School in 1968. Beverly went on to earn her B.A. from California State University, San Francisco in 1973, and she completed her M.B.A. at the University of California, Riverside in 1982.

Beverly began her professional journey as a high school teacher before moving into management and administrative roles in the health care field, serving with distinction at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland and Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Desert. In the 1980's she followed her creative and entrepreneurial spirit by opening a contemporary women's boutique, "Beverly," in Palm Desert. In the late 80's, Beverly joined the ranks of Coopers and Lybrand and she later built a distinguished career in executive leadership positions at USC School of Medicine, Centinela Hospital and HealthNet.

Beverly lived life to its fullest. She loved gatherings with friends and family, exploring the arts, music and travel. She participated competitively in 10K races, enjoyed golf and tennis and was an accomplished artist. Her paintings and creations reflected her ability to see beauty everywhere and she brought that beauty into her homes, her events, and her relationships. She was known for her fun, sometimes mischievous, sense of humor and her passion for life. Above all, Beverly loved and protected her family.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Richard Ricci, her stepdaughters Christine Ricci and Sherri Bergmann; and her cherished step-grandchildren Chad, Spencer, and Connor. She is also survived by her brother, Leo Bandini (Julie), her sister, Diane Lukza (Mike), and her beloved nephews Michael, John, and Joseph, along with their children.

A memorial mass will be held in late August at St. Finbar Catholic Church, followed by a celebration of life at a private club in Burbank. Beverly's remains will be interred at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City, California, this Fall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or BreastCancer.org, in Beverly's memory.

Beverly was a woman of kindness, generosity, beauty and laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of love and joy and an unfillable space in the hearts of those who knew her. She is deeply missed.

I am so very very sorry to hear this news. Although we had not seen each other for many years, Beverly was my dear friend for such a long time in the desert. She was my matron of honor at my wedding and godmother to one of my daughters.
I loved her sense of humor and we had many fun times together. I will remember her fondly with so much love. Great memories.
With love
