Beverly Jorgensen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 15, 2025.
Beverly Jorgensen was born January 12, 1933 and passed away September 6, 2025 at 92 years old. She was married to Peter James (Frank) Jorgensen(deceased) for 62 years. They were devoted to their children, Louis, Frank (deceased), Tom (deceased), Beverly, Steven, James, Elizabeth (deceased), and Kathleen. Beverly was born in Buffalo, NY, and lived in Ohio, spending most of her early adult years in North Ridgeville, Ohio. She and Frank moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in the early 1970s and embraced the desert as their forever home.

Beverly was a tried-and-true baseball fan, faithful to the Cleveland Indians and later the Arizona Diamondbacks. She could easily recite all the players' back stories and stats.

As a child of the Depression and World War 2, she was the queen of making do. She changed her own tires, could fix a battery with a knife and spoon, and tried her best to honor independence.

With all that independence, she still honored family, helping to care for her mother, Derna Passalacqua (deceased), and her aunt, Angela Stanton (deceased), as they grew more frail. She welcomed all to her home, often cooking single-handedly for the large groups of family and friends. Her lasagna and meatballs were appreciated by many of us over the years. Her ability to create lovely meals from nothing, while making it look easy, was part of the magic and skill she possessed. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She was the eldest sister of 8, grandmother of 10, and great-grandmother and supporter to many, who felt like she was a second mother to them.

A memorial is planned for February, when we can celebrate her favorite season.
