Billy Wayne Boyd

Billy Wayne "Bill" Boyd, 76, of Dunlap, died at Hospice of Chattanooga Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Bill worked at Spartan Industries in Dunlap and retired from Norton Industries in Soddy-Daisy and was a Christian by faith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, JC and Sarah Christian Boyd; parents, Clarence and Neta Elliot Boyd; brother, JC (Alma) Boyd; sister, Avis (Ron) Walker; nephews, John David Boyd and Burnette Sims; and great-niece, Jennifer Sims. Survivors include his brothers, Z.T. "Zach" (Joyce) Boyd and John H. (Wanda) Boyd; sister, Georgia Ruth Sims, all of Dunlap; nephews, Larry (Kendra) Boyd, John Wayne (Vickie) Sims, Eddie (Julie) Walker, Tommy (Carol) Sims, all of Dunlap, Zachary (Lori) Boyd, Crossville, TN, Brad (Amy) Boyd, Gainsville, GA; nieces, Kathy (Houston) Cunningham, Debbie Boyd, Dunlap, Lahetta (Joe) Abts, Springfield, AL, Judy (Royce) Tankersley, Jasper, and Peggy Sims, Dunlap; several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST Friday, March 21, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marvin McClendon officiating. Burial will follow in Rankin Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 1 – 8 PM CST Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rankin Cemetery, 157 Spur Ridge Rd.
