Mr. Goggin was a 1955 graduate of Gardiner Area High School.
He was the owner of Tri-City Auto Supply in Augusta for 33 years. He previously worked for Motor Supply and Reggie's Texaco.
Mr. Goggin was an Army veteran and was a member of Abnaki Council 334 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and a goodwill ambassador to Aruba.
He was predeceased by two brothers, David and John Goggin.
Mr. Goggin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rachel M. (Malcolm) Goggin, of Augusta; two sons, Jeffrey B. Goggin, and his wife, Shirley, of China, and Stacy A. Goggin and his wife, Heidi, of Hallowell; a daughter, Pamela S. Cummings and her husband, Gary, of China; a stepson, Alick C. Andreades, of Farmingdale; three brothers, Lawrence E. Goggin, of Bethpage, N.Y., Ernest "Dewey" Goggin, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Donald W. Goggin, of West Gardiner; two sisters, Vivian D. Maschino, of Gorham, and Dora E. Hawk, of Venice, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Benjiman, Zachary, Damien, Jason, Holly, Kevin, Tiffany and Kayla; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 16, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, where members of Abnaki Council 334 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus are asked to meet at 6 p.m. to recite prayers for their departed member. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Avenue, Augusta. Burial and committal prayers will follow in Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
Those who desire may make donations in Blaine's memory to the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, c/o MaineGeneral Health, Office of Philanthropy, P.O. Box 828, Waterville, ME 04903-0828.
