BLAIR ARCAND Obituary
April 16, 1982 - May 5, 2012
Blair thought his final days would be spent battling the "Zombie Apocalypse and saving all your butts". While his life didn't end the way he expected, his last days were full of love, laughter and great hope for the future. Blair's life was spent surrounded by friends and family; he was always excited to meet the next friend and the next adventure. Blair is lovingly remembered by his soul mate, Bodie; son, Bryn; mother, Jane Arcand; father, Frank Arcand; brother, Jason Arcand (Desiree Myrol); his parents-in-law, Wayne and Lisa Elliott; sister-in-law, Jamie Lavalley; and brother-in-law, Adam Elliott (Jen Carthy). A Celebration of Blair's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9th, at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street (corner of 8th Avenue North and Windsor Street). If you are unable to attend the service, view online at www.windsorchapelsaskatoon.com . In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Saskatoon SPCA (5028 Clarence Avenue South, S7T 1A7). Blair,almost a year has gone by and you are thought of lots and missed even more,your mom still sheds tears andthat is now the language you understand sent her a smile though the sun that shines on her she loves you so as well as J &D Brodie and Brin,rest in your new hme Bear.

I had the pleasure of working with Blair last summer for a few months. Blair was a refreshing burst of life that embraced me on days i'd rather be sleeping. Our conversations were filled with music, meaning of life and of course the his love of his life, Bodie. Much love to you Bodie and Byrn. Blair is one of a kind!

It has been a long time since I last saw Blair, probably my last day of high school, but I remember him fondly. There were plenty of good times at LP, mostly in Mel's room. My heart goes out to his family and those who loved Blair. Keep his memory close.

Blair was a close friend of mine when we were in our early twenties. We started a band together and had alot of fun times. He was an awesome musician and singer, who came up with many jams i will never forget. Sadly, i never really stayed in touch with Blair over the last few years. I think I really missed out, because now all I can think about is how great he was. Always funny and would laugh at my stupid jokes when nobody else would. So Sorry. Thoughts and prayers for Bodie, Jason, Bryn and all of Blairs family and many friends.

Blair, you sure got around! As I was reading Donna and Ashley's post about our school days, I have to share the grade 5 story when you proposed marriage to me. Good for you that I said "no" as it sounds like you met your soulmate, Bodie, later! We went to school from grade 3-7, many many memories and laughs. My thoughts and prayers for your family. Blair I will always remember you, especially on my Birthday because your's is the exact same date. We went to school together right from Kindergarten through high school and lived in the same neighborhood...I still remember when you walked me home from school one day and tried to kiss me in like grade 3 or 4....but I was grossed out....ha! What many may not know is that after grade 12 you started coming to a young adults Bible study at my house with Pastor Ben...remember him? It was so much fun jamming and singing praises to God together...all of us had been through hard times but that year we found God to be so real to us and to be the solution to the challenges we faced. You have always had a positive passion & joy for life but you seemed to come alive even more when you found Jesus. After that year we all parted ways and went off to school and the city and stuff...I don't know if you continued living out your faith but I I am so thankful that you got to know God before you passed on...Cause that's what this life is really about. Your Death is such a shocking reminder of how short our time here on this earth really is...you will truly & dearly be missed but we praise God for the hope of eternal life we have with Him. All we have to do is believe...and that you did. My thoughts and prayers go out to all your family and friends.
