Bobby Gene Harwell, 53, of Poplar Bluff, died February 27, 2009 at his residence. Bobby was born October 22, 1955 in Poplar Bluff to Jerry and Shirley Harwell. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whose lives he had affected in many ways throughout his life. He was of the Baptist faith. Bobby enjoyed listening to music, doing artwork, playing sports, running and playing with his Big Boy truck and "Osar". Bobby's favorite baseball team was the St. Louis Cardinals and he also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys football team. Surviving are is father, Jerry Harwell and wife Rita of Harviell, three sisters, Teresa Lewis and husband Richard of Fisk, Michelle Walker and husband Dale of Terre Du Lac, Angie Gunter and husband Cecil of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Jerry Lynn Harwell and girlfriend Donna Duncan of Poplar Bluff, and Brian Harwell and girlfriend Tina Sucaw of Poplar Bluff; nieces, Kiley Lewis, Natasha Hargraves, Ashley Walker, Kayleigh Gunter, Hillary Sucaw and Briana Sucaw; nephews, Brian and Jason Harwell; great-nephews Landon Bates, Zachary Hargraves and Colton Hargraves; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Harwell, maternal grandparents, Butell and Edgar Stagner and paternal grandparents Gertrude Birdsong and Fred Harwell. Visitation will be at 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Groves officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
