July 5, 1928 - October 27, 2007 MONTROSE, Colo. - Bonnie Rae Lundberg, beloved sister, mother and grandmother, 79, of Montrose, Colo., died on Saturday morning, Oct. 27, 2007 at Carla's Care at Vista View. Bonnie was born on July 5, 1928 in Manhattan, Kan. In 1944, she and her family moved to Burbank, Calif. where she graduated from Burbank High School in 1945. Soon after that she was joined in marriage to Mel Lundberg. They moved to Rapid City, S.D. where they raised their three children and celebrated 48 years of marriage. In 1995, Bonnie moved to Montrose, Colo. to enjoy her retirement years. Bonnie is survived by two sisters, Gloria Peterson of Chapin, S.C. and Sue Moody of Cedar City, Utah; three children, Char Lundberg of Cortez, Colo., Ron Lundberg of Montrose, Colo. and Don Lundberg and wife Angie of Placerville, Colo.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild and one sister. Bonnie enjoyed family time, bowling with her friends and other social activities in Montrose. She was a member of the Women's Bowling Association in Colorado and South Dakota where she was a Hall of Fame member. Her family is deeply grateful for the outstanding care she received from the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado and Carla's Care at Vista View. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to: Hospice at P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, CO 81402. A Memorial Service in celebration of Bonnie's life was held Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in Montrose. Arrangements are under the directions of Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E. Main St., Montrose, CO 81401 (970) 249-2121.

I have known and bowled with Bonnie for many years. She was a wonderful and very sweet lady. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.
