Brad Ostroff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 20, 2025.
Castle Rock - Brad Stephen Ostroff-loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend-passed away on February 14, 2025 in Castle Rock, CO.

Brad was born to Jack and Ruth (Sherr) Ostroff in Philadelphia, PA on August 18,1949. The oldest of three children, he spent his childhood swimming, playing baseball, and performing with his sister. A 1967 graduate of Cherry Hills High School West in Cherry Hills, NJ, he attended Bethany College in West Virginia where he was a proud Alpha Sigma Phi brother. At Bethany, Brad met his beautiful wife, Robin, and together they moved to Camden, New Jersey after his graduation in 1971 where he attended law school at Rutgers University, earning his J.D. in law, and then to Washington D.C. where Brad attended Georgetown University, earning his Masters in Tax Law.

Brad excelled in his career in tax law working first with the International Revenue Service as a tax refund litigation attorney and then as a senior trial attorney. He moved into private practice and worked as a partner at Burch & Cracchiolo, P.A. (25 years) and then at Frazer, Ryan, Goldberg & Arnold LLP before retiring. He took great pride in his career and was recognized in both Phoenix Magazine and Best Lawyers in America for his work.

A lifelong and devoted Philadelphia sports fan, Brad was a self-proclaimed "Phillie Phanatic" and could frequently be heard singing, "Fly, Eagles, Fly." While a Philadelphia boy at heart, he later came to adopt the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona State University's Sun Devils, and University of Denver's Pioneers and cheer enthusiastically for them as well.

As much as he took pride in his work and enjoyed sports, he loved his family most of all. He loved generously and fiercely; his pride in his family was infinite. Brad never missed a daughter's track meet or theater performance and took them yearly on trips to Utah to go skiing and New York City to see Broadway performances. With Robin, he travelled and explored all over the world.

Brad is survived by his wife of 53 years, Robin Ostroff, daughters, Megan Peterson and Amanda Warren-Macon; son-in-laws, Brian Peterson and Ben Macon; grandchildren, Landon, Dawson, Adalynn, and Brinley; sister, Jill Marks; brother, Greg Ostroff, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruth Ostroff.

Celebrations of life will be held in Castle Rock and Scottsdale in the spring.. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Brad's honor.
