Brenda Conkle Gilman, 39, loving wife of Joseph Gilman, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013.
Born in Pontiac, Illinois, she was the daughter of Jack and Kay Weber Conkle.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joseph, of 20 years, she is survived by a son, Nicholas Gilman; two sisters, Roberta C. Martinez (Felix) and Jackie Conkle; two nieces and two nephews; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Fred and Penny Gilman; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Dan and Elaine Gilman; Grandmother-in-law, Phyllis Gilman.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Way at your local chapter.

It was a pleasure to know and work with Brenda. She was always kind to me, fun-loving and happy, and made me smile every day. I was blessed to call her my friend. Joe and Nick, you are in my prayers, along with the rest of her family and friends during this hard time.

So saddened by the news of sweet Brenda's passing. I have said so many times that Brenda's heart could be seen in those beautiful eyes and smile. A beautiful mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend with a spirit most of us only dream of. My best friend...
Although miles were between us, we were always close at heart. She was a sister, and displayed to me unconditional love like no other. She had an amazing ability to keep everyone connected, and always cared about others needs far beyond her own. Brenda, I will miss you terribly.
