I met Brenda last year on her bus route to Coquillard. I could tell she loved her job and the children. She always had a smile on her face regardless of how she felt. She will be missed.

Brenda & I have been good friends for a long time. I remember the fun we had riding our horses at Potato Creek & also along the old railroad along Madison Rd. Brenda was late for a morning ride with a group of us and she came over the hill riding as fast as she could to catch up. She could ride like the wind on Dakota! I have so many good memories and I'll miss her tremendously. Carolyn Talboom

I have so many wonderful memories of Brenda. I remember meeting Brenda when she was about 10. Her grandpa seemed to have a special twinkle in his eye for her. Later she drove her bus for Our Lady of Hungary field trips where my boys went to school. I know Miss Farrell, a teacher from Our Lady, also thought the world of her. She rode horses with my sister Stacey. Brenda had such a love of life and was so grateful to her family. When I would run into her she spoke so proudly of her relationship with her daughter, her marriage to her husband Jim and his family, Bill and Robin's son Robert, and later how her sister Gail helped her so much with different procedures and her sister Nancy wrote her each week. Brenda had so much love for her friends, family and her animals. On Brenda's last entry to her Facebook she wrote about the sunshine, she will forever be in the sunlight as our newest guardian angel. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends who have to learn to live without her...just know you will see her again!

True meaning to the saying "life is too short". I will miss passing Brenda in bus "54" on South Olive street. I will miss her smile as we waved at each other. I will think of her often and I will pray for her family, friends and loved ones. May your memories of Brenda bring you comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4.

What a joy it was to know Brenda! When I think of her I think of lazy afternoons in the pool and Brenda riding her bike there with her backpack full of snacks. I think of her beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. I think of how her lip curled just a little when she said "s". She always had blues music playing and there was always a nice breeze blowing through the house. I think of the garage sale finds and always worrying about repairs to the bus! We had a lot of great times together and she will be missed dearly. My love and thoughts to all the family and those that loved her- especailly James.

One summer Brenda and I drove Girl Scouts up to New Buffalo and after dropping them off we'd take her bus to the beach. We play in the water like a couple of kids and we had so much fun. Brenda was a wonderful person and I'll miss her deeply. Love you Brenda, Lonnie
