We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

You was like my second mom. We had so many great memories. We always went camping and went out, I spent every weekend by your house. You meant so much to me and my cousin Kylee. We miss you so much. It's so hard believe. And I'm trying so hard to keep it together. It sucks I couldn't be at the funeral. But you are dearly missed. I just saw you not too long ago. :( I love you , RIP.

When I first had the opportunity to meet Brenda, we started talking and not even realizing that we grew up not to far from each other, her brother Danny, was a friend of the family, small world, and as our friendship grew I came to realize just how much of a sweet person Brenda was. She had the biggest heart of gold and her and Mike would do anything for anybody, she will be missed by many who knew her. RIP Bree, you made a mark in this world that no one will ever forget.

Oh my sweet Aunt Bree!! The love we shared as aunt and niece was uniquely unlike any other! You were one of the most amazing people I've ever known and will forever be grateful for the years we spent together! You've always treated me as if I was your own blood, but that's just your loving character! You have taught me how to be strong and courageous and you always, always, always had your ear open to me. Oh how I will miss your advice! I know you know, but I just have to say it.... I love you, more.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Fly High My Friend, we going to miss you dearlt

Fire Chief James E. LeBlanc

May 4, 2017

Today St. Amant Constable James E. LeBlanc continues the Ascension Parish Kindness Revolution' campaign, by passing it forward to the entire family and freinds of Brenda Lanoux.

Yesterday was indeed a very hard one for anyone that knew Brenda Lanoux. It is so much easier to mourn in silence; it always takes away the worry for not being able to get the right words out about a dear friend for more than 25 years. Everyone who has ever met Brenda Lanoux, knew that she was a very special person.

Brenda brought life to everything and touched every heart she ever met. Brenda had a unique quality in that she could make anyone feel special. She always had just the biggest smile on her face, everytime you seen her.

We will all have our own personal and special memories, of the mark Brenda Lanoux left in our hearts and in our lives. My personal memories of Brenda, were the many years she worked and stood by her husband Mike Lanoux, as he was the Fire Chief of the St. Amant Community. Brenda, would go to every function, every benefit and every event you could think of, and be right by Mike's side for what ever he needed to be successful. She never wanted any recognition, no glory and no praise. Brenda, just wanted to keep working to make our community a safer place to raise our families. Brenda Lanoux, was also a member of the St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department herself, for many years. How many times did Brenda get up during a working structure fire, to make sure the Volunteers Firefighters had food and drinks at the scene, when they were fighting the local fire.

Brenda was such a strong person through and through, from character, personalty and presence. Everyone of us today, somewhere and somehow has been touched by Brenda Lanoux.

When you start thinking about character words that describe Brenda Lanoux, you think of True Giver, Kindness, Considerate, Dependable, Determined, Dedication, and Compassion. All these words describe the character of Brenda Lanoux. She was such a blessing to her family, her friends and this community.

Brenda Lanoux, your dedication to your husband, your children and the wonderful residents of our Parish will never go un-noticed. We will never forget the impact that you placed in our lives.

Brenda Lanoux, was a perfect example of an Ascension Parish resident that continued to dedicate her entire life to loving and helping the residents and children of our wonderful Parish.

Brenda Lanoux, was a true giver, she has a warm heart and we love how she always continued to love her family, her friends and the people and children of our Parish.

Today many people in Ascension Parish will mourn the loss of Brenda Lanoux. Her family will, of course, miss her most of all. I hope though that will take comfort in the fact that so many others across the beautful Parish will miss Brenda Lanoux, also for many different memories.

Today I ask all our Ascension Parish Family to keep the Lanoux Family in your prayers as they prepare to make that final journey with our friend Brenda Lanoux.

Go rest high on that mountain my friend, your work here is now complete. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND!

Brenda was as special as a friend can be! She has been one of my best friends since 2005. We loved to talk on the phone for hours! We could always help the other with words of encouragement! In fact I had just talked to her Saturday night! I will miss you my dear friend more than words can say! My heart breaks at the thought of not having another one of our marathon conversations! You will be dearly missed my friend. And neighbor! All my love Patty
