Brenda Wise Coleman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 16, 2018.
Brenda Ann (Wise) Coleman was born on August 10, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, to Virginia (Ginny) A. and Michael F. Wise. She graduated from Plano Sr. High School and The University of North Texas. She was married to the love of her life Stephen Coleman on May 17, 1986. Brenda was the very proud mother to Amanda Lynn, Tyler Edward, Austin Michael, and Sarah Ann. She was also the encouraging and willing accomplice to any adventures that her beloved grandson Damon Drake could think of to keep them both on their toes and to have fun together.

The best words to describe Brenda would have to be happy, caring, and loving to all. Despite a lifelong battle with debilitating arthritis, she lived life to the fullest and on her terms. Brenda was determined to never be slowed down by anything and was always the first to plan a party, to want to go along on an adventure and last to close down the party.

If you were a stray cat, dog or friend of her children that needed a loving fill-in mom, a warm meal, or just a place to stay, you were always welcome and forever a part of Brenda's family. Brenda was the most caring and kind-hearted person to walk the earth. She always saw the good in people especially when others only saw the bad. She catered to the needs of others before herself to the extent that sometimes caused her own health to suffer. Her favorite place was at the beach with friends and family with her toes in the sand and a drink in her hand.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Ginny. She is survived by her father Michael Wise of Plano, TX, husband Stephen Coleman of Denton, TX, daughter Amanda Koudaih, her husband Troy, and their son Damon of Waxahachie, TX, son Tyler Coleman of Nashville, TN, son Austin Coleman of Waxahachie, TX, daughter Sarah Coleman of Longview, TX, sister Sheri Wise of Plano, TX, brother Michael C. Wise of Plano, TX, and brother Mark Wise, his wife Allyn and their sons Zane & Cade of Lewisville, TX.

Rest in Peace Sweet Brenda, you deserve it the most and we will miss you dearly.

My deepest condolences to the families of Brenda, and in particular to her father and my long-time friend, Michael Wise. I never had the opportunity to meet Brenda, but through the years I have seen the loving care and concern Michael has had for her. Michael, you have constantly admired her great courage and good spirit through her pain and adversity. I know she will be greatly missed by you and all of her family, but I wish each of you solace in knowing her pain is no more.
With deepest sympathy, Linn

Our sincere condolences for you and your families loss. I only had the privilege of meeting Brenda a few times over the 3 year period of coaching with you at Azle. Of those few times, she was smiling and upbeat even though she was in very much discomfort and pain. She was a true soldier in supporting you and her family.
