Brenda Zeno Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10, 2022.
Brenda S. (Main) Zeno, 70, died December 4th, 2022. She was the wife of the late Ralph Zeno Jr., and the daughter of the late Alice Esselman and Raymond Main. Brenda was also predeceased by John Esselman, her stepfather and her son Ralph III. She is survived by her daughter, Kelli Zeno of Torrington; 3 sisters, Barbara Bigham and her husband David of Danbury, Joan Baumgart and her husband Kevin of Sandy Hook, and Ruthann Esselman of Waterbury; 2 grandchildren, Nicole Williams and her husband Harlan of Gales Ferry, and Alex Marks of Torrington; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Brenda grew up and graduated school in Bethel, CT and spent her working years in retail until her retirement in 2018. Brenda enjoyed travelling, especially to any place warm. Even though she was petrified of birds, Brenda enjoyed watching them through the windows and always made sure their birdfeeders remained full. She was fond of games; never turning down a game of parcheesi or cards and enjoyed going to the casino. In the evening, Brenda was a frequent watcher of the game show network. In her younger years, she loved to plant gardens and as she grew older the indoor plants benefitted from her green thumb. She quite appreciated that Amazon would deliver right to her door and much of her family were recipients from her "treasures". She was fond of dogs, Dunkin' Donuts coffee and insisted that she hated cheese, despite never trying it.

Brenda will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the Amazon driver. All family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life held at the Baumgart residence at 8 Arrowhead Lane, Sandy Hook, CT on Saturday, December 10th from 1 - 5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Brenda's favorite charity.
