I was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of "Mr. O'C." I believe I was among his first students at St. George's, in Grade 5 English, 1977-78. He was the definitive cool teacher: serious about covering the material, but generous in sharing his love of fiction (Tolkien's The Hobbit, as well as some of his own writings). Being a car nut from birth, I was incredibly impressed when he arrived at school in January 1978 in a new TR7 - burgundy with the white racing stripe, a Christmas gift from his wife. I guess we last spoke in 1980 or so, but I admired and remember Brendan fondly. Condolences to all who knew him.

My family & I lived next door to Brendan, Brian & their parents Peggy & Ivor. I babysat for Brendan when he was 3 yrs. old & watched him grow up.
Unfortunately I lost track of Brendan when he left St. Georges. For a while prior to his mother's death I was able to stay connected.
I am especially saddened by his early passing. Brendan was much too young!
I will always remember him
with fondness!

Dear Daniel and Craig, Andrea Page aka Page and I were very sad to learn of your father's death. He was a friend and gracious host to us during the latter Pitt Meadows days. We've attached some photographs of some of his favourite things, after his love for you two, of course. Sincerely, Alan Dudley & Andrea Page, Delta, B.C.

I met Brenden when I moved 3 houses down the street when I was 5. He was the first kid I met on our street and we started grade one together at Vancouver College. We used to play together in his back yard and I remember Ivor and Peggy well. I lost touch with Brenden after he left St Georges. Condolences and prayers to the Family. Ian

I am today mindful and grateful that Brendan was a great friend to me during our school years at Vancouver College but unfortunately we lost touch when i moved to France. So glad to learn his life was a full and meaningful one.
May perpetual Light shine upon him. Amen.
