Brian K. Allsup, 50, of Stuart passed away Saturday, July 20th at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 23rd at the All Saints Church in Stuart. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, July 24th at the All Saints Church in Stuart. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brian Allsup Memorial Fund, in care of, Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, IA 50250. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonfamilyfuneralhome.com. Brian was born February 9, 1963 to Kenneth Wayne and Rita (Woodson) Allsup in Dexter, Iowa. He graduated from Greenfield High School with the class of 1981. In 1988, he welcomed his daughter Angela. Then a year afterwards married Angela's mother, Pamela Thomas. In 1998, he married Helen Pearce at the United Methodist Church in Stuart. He worked in the construction business for many years living in Florida, Texas and New York before settling in Stuart. Brian enjoyed playing competitive games of golf, bowling, pool and cards. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing. He was a very compassionate man and loved his spending time with his daughter Angela and granddaughter Charlee, friends and his beloved dog Sophie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ernest and Susie Allsup, Bernard and Edythe Woodson and several aunts and uncles. Brian is survived by his loving daughter Angela Allsup of Des Moines and grand-daughter: Charlee of Des Moines; parents: Kenneth Wayne Allsup of Des Moines and Rita Allsup of Stuart; ex-wife: Helen Allsup of Stuart and step-daughters Stephanie (Quincy) Brammer and Amanda Williams (friend-Eric); ex-wife: Pam Franklin of Arkansas and step-daughter Christina Jasmer and step-granddaughters: Jocelyn, Makenna, Taylor and Cailyn; siblings: Kevin (Tammy) Allsup of Greenfield, Danny Allsup (friend-Vickie) of Exira, Randy (friend-Tammy) Allsup of Stuart, Scott (Jane) Allsup of Earlham, Penny (Lloyd Lee) Allsup of Ankeny; step-siblings: Steve (Debbie) Eittreim of Des Moines, Greg (Lisa) Eittreim of Urbandale, Cathy Fosselman of Des Moines and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of whom will miss him greatly.
