BERLIN
Brian Michael Naughton of Berlin, MA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 4, 2019, in Clinton Hospital, Clinton, MA.
Brian, 56, is the beloved son of Thomas and Barbara Naughton. He is also survived by his brother and best friend, Bill Naughton; and his sisters, Maureen Naughton, and Jeannie Naughton Daly and her husband, Michael Daly. He is the adored uncle of Aubrey Daly and Alyssa and Zachary Lockwood, who have been the joyful recipients of his unending generosity and cheerful good nature. He kept them well supplied with dinosaurs, robots, refrigerator boxes, and hundreds of pounds of play sand. He would sugar them up, and then pass them back to their parents, all the while laughing gleefully at the chaos that would ensue.
Brian had a passion for learning and held multiple degrees. He enjoyed travel, and working throughout the U.S. and Europe, and had a talent for gourmet cooking.
His extended family in the U.S., Ireland, and Australia, and his friends, will forever hold him in their hearts, as he held them while he lived. He will be deeply missed, always loved, and remembered and held in our highest esteem.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, or to the American Diabetes Association.
A memorial service will be held in New Jersey at a later date; burial will take place in the family plot in Co. Galway, Ireland. McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, MA, is assisting the family with arrangements. To share a memory of Brian, or offer condolences to his family, please sign the Guest Book.

It is with great sadness I say the following: It is hard to believe! Brian and I became good friends over the last six months. We went on lunches and coffee breaks had several discussions about science and technology, history, politics and so on. I will definitely miss him. He was very intelligent, well aware and over all a great gentleman.
May his soul rest in peace!

Brian was a blessing, and not in disguise. He was a blessing from the moment you set eyes on him. He was the most generous person I ever met. Rest In Peace , Brian
