BRIAN EDWIN WIMMER

Brian Edwin Wimmer, 41, of Princeton passed away in his sleep at home on Sunday morning April 14, 2019.  Brian was handsome, strong-willed, and charismatic, but, most of all, well-gifted with a generous heart.  His family, friends, and multiple strangers benefited from his generous heart.  He will be always missed by his parents, Bruce and Rita Wimmer; his beloved brother, Joshua and sister-in-law Erika; niece, (ham sandwich) Livia; nephew, Vonn; and maternal grandmother, Odessa Martin.  Brian’s most important person in his life was his son, Brandon.  Brandon rocked his world and meant everything to him.  Brandon’s heart is just like his daddy’s and that made Brian so proud.  Brian has several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and he had assured us that every one of them was important to him and that he loved them all.  His friends were his friends for life through thick and thin, and Brian was always there if needed.  Brian was a lover of literature from kindergarten until his last day.  He read hundreds of books from Dante to Hemingway to poetry.  He placed value on every book and one of his favorite pieces of poetry was “IF” by Rudyard Kipling.  Brian was a 1996 graduate of Princeton Senior High School and a camper salesman for Jennings RV Sales. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lake “Ted” Jennings, Jr.; and paternal grandparents, Earl and Virginia Wimmer.  A service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the service hour and after the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN  38105.

Bruce, Rita, Josh and family. Did not learn of your loss until today. We are so sorry for the loss of Brian. He was very special to us. He was our camper salesman, our friend, and in some special way like a son. We thought the world of him. May he rest in peace and may you all be comforted in the days and weeks ahead.

PRINCETON CLASS OF 1996

April 17, 2019

FROM THE PRINCETON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1996: Regardless the day, Brian would greet you with a smile and a laugh. He was a friend to us all. Brian was a class clown but thoroughly enjoyed school and learning. Although a comedian at heart, he used this gift to reflect his thoughts and to show his intelligence. As of this date, Brian's graduating class of 1996, has been fortunate, and has had very few early deaths/losses. The death of Brian will be felt by us all as the news spreads and each of us find out. This loss truly reminds us that no day is promised. To Brian's parents, thank you for blessing each of us with your son, he was genuine and one of a kind. Until we see OUR FRIEND again, we will continue our fight for we are the 1996 Princeton Tigers. We love you Brian.

Although I hadn't see Brian in many years, I am sure he had not changed. He lived with so much LIFE inside him. If this man couldn't make you laugh, you were not going to laugh! Witty with quick comebacks and humor was the friend I remember. From our senior beach week, Winter place trips, to the many fun times I recall, you were someone whom carried themselves with great confidence. You were a stranger to no one. I can only imagine how much you will be missed by your family and friends. Thanks for all the laughs and being a friend when I needed one the most.

shocked and confused! Just woke up from a dream of someone dying in their sleep only to open this post. I wonder and think about many of my class mates, and often pray for them. Brian was no exception. I often recall a conversation we had on a jungle Jim set at the top of my subdivision. We talked about a dream he had of standing before Jesus as on of the solders at the cross saying surly this was the son of God. And he wok up to find the scene in his Bible. We talked about hearing the whispers of God and life in general. Im not sure how old we were but it stuck with me all these years later we played football and graduated together, partied a little together and life ultimately moved us in different directions. I pray he has entered eternity with the same heart he had so long ago on that jungle Jim set and has entered into final Joy and pease and resting! Go with God Brian. In the mean time prayers to all the family and friends.
