Brigida L. (Angione) Sedita, loving wife of Robert A. Sedita, died peacefully after a brief illness at the Norwalk Hospital on Sunday, July 14, with her husband, family, close friends and faithful dogs Jackson and Charlie at her bedside. She was 52. Brigida was born in Norwalk on September 6, 1960, the daughter of the late Anthony L. and Virginia Dickinson Angione. She graduated from Brien McMahon High School in 1978 and later from Norwalk Community College with a paralegal degree. For the past 32 years Brigida has worked for G.E. Capital. She was currently the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Natural Resources for Energy Financial Services and had also worked for other senior executives, including the CFO and Vice-Chairman of the Board of General Electric. Brigida enjoyed reading and going to the beach and loved being with her family and two Golden Retrievers. She also enjoyed relaxing with Robert at their condo in Singer Island, FL and her monthly dinner outings with her co-workers.`
In addition to her husband, Brigida is survived by her brother Charles F.X. Angione of Weston, her mother-in-law Veronica B. Sedita, brother-in-law Stephen J. Sedita and his wife Robin, sisters-in law Susan Angione, Roseanne Sedita and Diane McGill and her husband Charlie. Brigida is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who were very special to her, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also predeceased by her siblings Margaret Mary Angione, Roxanne M. Angione and Anthony L. Angione, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 18, 10:30 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at Rowayton Union Cemetery. Brigida's family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.
