Brittany-Mae Haag Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 26, 2017.
Brittany-Mae, 22, of Anchorage, Alaska, lost her life on April 19, 2017, to a senseless act of violence which forever changed the lives of many.
Brittany was born and raised in Alaska. She attended West Anchorage High School.
She spent her waking hours in her young adult life passionately working at Arctic Tails. Before her life was cut short, she had hoped to become a Vet's Assistant.
A lifelong Alaskan she, of course, spent her time sledding, camping, fishing and rallying on four-wheelers; a true 'lil Alaskan girl that got muddy, rode bikes and enjoyed the trampoline.
Besides taking care of her loves, Buster and Scrappy, she spent precious moments with her very close and large family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Brittany was known for her strength, generous side and her heart so full of love for life, which was proven when we nearly lost her due to her Type 1 diabetes. Brittany was a fighter and did not let her condition slow her down, nor did it weaken her intoxicating smile.
She will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to have had her in their life.
Brittany-Mae is survived by her mother and stepfather, Shelia and Lorenzo Lopez; father, Mike Haag; sister and brother-in-law, Chelsea and Chad Hartman; brothers, Taylor Haag and Joshua Moses; sister, Ho'onani Manning; nephews, Kaikuana, Rylan and Cade; and niece, Sierra-Mae Hartman.
She leaves behind her maternal great-grandparents, Francis and Hilda Teixeira Sr.; grandmother, Debbie and Brian Sturdevant of Anchorage; grandfather, Francis and Stephanie Teixeira Jr. of Hawaii; paternal great-grandmother, Jenny Bissonette; grandmother, Gail Tischer of Anchorage; and grandfather, Vincent Mike and Debbie Haag of Mi.104.5 Parks Highway, Alaska.
Also saddened by her loss are her uncles, Kevin, Chip,
J.J. and Donny Haag, as well as Michael and Shannon Teixeira; and aunties, Amber Bissonette, Rachel Buris, Hope Pound, Katie Haag-Smith and Mollie Haag of Alaska, as well as Jesse Kupau-Royals and Cheryl Teixeira of Hawaii.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Scotty Norton and Cleo Cintron of Hawaii; and paternal great-grandfather, Daniel Edward Bissonette.
Services will be held on April 30, 2017, at 3 p.m., at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 17108 Hanson Drive in Eagle River, Alaska, officiated by Pastor Bobby Jones. A Celebration of Life will follow.

My husband Chris and I have watched this young girl grow up into a beautiful young lady. One of my favorite memories is during Fur Rendezvous, we had a Captain Cook hotel suite - so Taylor, Brittany and Mike stayed with us - a great time downtown and hotel amenities. Went swimming and slept on king size bed.

We miss you Brittany - Love Chris and Roxanna Moe

I only knew Brittany thru Arctic Tails, where my little fur baby goes twice a week. She was quite often her "favorite human" on the report cards the kids would write and send home. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.
