It is with heavy hearts filled with the echoes of her laughter, we announce the passing of our cherished daughter

BRITTANY LYNN MEAD, 34, born in Pine Bluff, AR on July 19, 1990, whom unexpectedly passed away in her home located in Penn Hills, PA on January 29, 2025. Her radiant spirit, infectious kindness, and boundless love touched the lives of all who knew her. She was very intelligent, well spoken, free spirited, loved cats and Gothic art! She spent the majority of her childhood growing up in Pine Bluff, AR, Bremerhaven and Augsburg, Germany, Fort Riley, KS, and Fort Polk, LA, due to her father being stationed at these locations while he served our country. Brittany attended and graduated from Boyce Campus Middle College (BCMC) High School in 2008 located in Monroeville, PA.

In accordance with Brittanys' wishes, her remains have been cremated and a celebration of her life will remain private amongst her family.

She is survived by her son Aidyn Mead of Pittsburgh, PA, her mother Sherry Getty (Rainey) of Daytona Beach, FL (RFA Class of '88'), her father Gary Mead Jr of the Philippines (RFA Class of '86', U.S. Army Retired), 1/2 brother Brian VanOsdol of Indianapolis, IN, Paternal Grandmother Elaine Mead of Manchester, TN, Maternal Grandmother Shirley Rainey of Colorado Springs, CO, several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews residing in Rome, NY and many locations throughout the U.S. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you contact her father Gary at [email protected] regarding any thoughtful or kind comments, condolences, or donations you wish to make in her memory.
