Bruce LEANDER Obituary
March 29, 1955 - June 9, 2012
Bruce Leander of Edmonton, passed away at the age of 57 years.
Bruce is survived by his son, Errol (Deborah); father, Ivor; brother, Allen (Waltrude); sister, Linda (Ron); granddaughters, Bailey and Kayia and nephews, Paul, Nathan and Les. He is predeceased by his mother, Edith.
As per Bruce's wishes no service will be held.

my thoughts and prayers go out to Ivor, Al, Linda,Errol and to all the people that Bruce touched over the years. For me I will always remember our youth and what it means to me in todays world,and the memories of that youth. A few of those are the mall, rollerskating, cornation park, gods lake,elementry,jr.high, and of course vic.comp. The places times and things I will never forget all thanks to Bruce he will forever be on my mind.

We were so young in these pictures. And like most young adults, we thought that we knew everything. Even though we were pretty much still children ourselves, we tried to make a life for ourselves and our sweet little boy. From this beginning, we now have two beautiful granddaughters, which goes to prove that life and love really do last forever, and everything we do has an eternal effect on the world around us.
I appreciate that you kept in touch with me all these years and always made sure that I knew where you were and how you were doing. And I could always count on that late night call every December 17th, which would have been our anniversary. Just because we didn't stay together, didn't make it any less of an important day.
One of my fondest memories of you in recent years is when we brought Bailey and Kayia, along with their two sisters, up to the Royal Alec to visit you. The way the light went on in your eyes when the girls peeked around the curtain was priceless. It made you look eighteen again.
This life had different paths to offer each of us. Your path was to follow your music. It lead you to amazing places. When we were younger, you used to say that at the end of your life you hoped you could quote Jimmy Buffet who wrote ‘Some of it's magic. And some of it's tragic. But I had a good life all the way.' I really hope you were able to say that when your journey lead you into the next realm.

My deepest condolences to Bruce's family.
A long time friend who always had time to stop and chat and update lifes happenings. This usually took place at Westmount Shopping Centre, where we laughed about being the "Original Mall Rats",only to become the "Founding Mall Rats" in later years.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bruce's family, we were good friends in high school and saw each other on numerous occasions throughout his life. The one thing that made me smile was the late night super burgers at Mae Ling restaurant on the traffic circle with Bruce and Craig. Keep rocking brother.

I sadly pass along my condolences to Bruce's family and friends. I lost touch with Bruce over the last 10 years or so. So I will always remember Bruce as a young man, happily playing his harp. RIP Glyn
