Byron Rhoads Obituary

Byron Lee Rhoads, age 76, passed away on March 13, 2025 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Born on March 8, 1949, in Miami, Florida, Byron lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for his family.
A true free spirit with a magnetic presence and a contagious laugh, Byron brought light and joy to everyone around him. He was a kind-hearted man who lived guided by love-love that he gave freely and deeply to those fortunate enough to know him. His devotion to his family was the cornerstone of his life. As a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and big brother, he cherished every role with pride and tenderness.
Byron is survived by his beloved sisters Dorothy Juanita Rhoads and Sharon Rhoads-Marks; his children Jessica Rhoads-Brittain, Dawn Rhoads, and Scott Rhoads; his grandchildren Jade Brittain, Landan Utz, Kaleb Rhoads/Clyburn, Aubrey Rhoads, and Damon Rhoads; and his great-grandchild Hayden Ingle. Each of them carries forward the legacy of love and strength that Byron instilled in them.
He is reunited in peace with his parents Harry Arthur Rhoads and Annie Mack-Lee Rhoads; his brother Charles Arthur-Harry Rhoads; and his children Byron Rhoads Jr. and Barbara Dee Rhoads.
Byron's life was one well-lived-rich in connection, laughter, and meaning. He leaves behind not only memories but also values that will continue to shape generations: kindness without condition, joy in the everyday moments, and love that never fades.
He will be remembered always-not just for how he lived but for how he made others feel.
Rest easy, Dad. Your spirit lives on in all of us.
