C. Rice Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 12, 2011.
C. Grahame Rice, born July 14, 1967, passed away on June 12, 2011 while participating in a charity event. He is survived by his beloved wife Erin, children Robert and Brookie, brothers Brooke and Richard, mother Mary Anna, two nephews and sisters-in-law Laura, Carlene and Julie. He was predeceased by his father Richard and younger brother Kennedy. Grahame was an alumnus of Palloti High School, Shepherd University and received a Master’s Degree from UMUC. He obtained his CPA in 1997. Grahame was a devoted father, husband, brother, son and friend to many. He volunteered in his community for countless hours and always lived every day to the fullest. Some of his favorite past times were enjoying the outdoors with his family and watching Ravens football and Maryland basketball with his children and friends. He never said no when anyone asked for help in any way. Whether it was his accounting knowledge, his peace making skills or his strength, Grahame was the go-to-guy. He shared his knowledge as an adjunct professor at AACC and UMUC, in addition to work as an accountant for GGP in Columbia, Maryland. He was an avid weight lifter, swimmer and participated in several sprint triathlons. Grahame always had a smile to offer and was quick to laugh with a great sense of humor that lightened the room. He will be missed by everyone he touched, especially his wife and children. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 16 from 1-3 and 7-9 PM at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 17 at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, with interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials in honor of Charles Grahame Rice may be made to The Erin Rice Education Fund for Robert and Laura (Brookie) Rice at any Bank Annapolis location, or mailed to Bank Annapolis, 1000 Bestgate Road, Suite 100, Annapolis, MD 21401.
