Cale Lindsey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 19 to Apr. 24, 2010.
Robert Cale Lindsey, 40, of Winder, died Saturday, April 17, 2010.

Born in Houston, Ala., he was a son of Ray and Dolly Lindsey of Monroeville, Ala. He was a man who loved God and his family. God chose to take him suddenly and those left behind are grieving the loss of an amazing man. He is and will continue to be greatly missed but we are thankful for the part that God allowed him to play in each of our lives. "In his heart, a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." - Proverbs 16:9.

Cale was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and was employed as a manager at 84 Lumber Company. He was a 1988 graduate of Monroe County High School.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Karen K. Lindsey; and daughters, Cathrine Ann, Clare Marie and Caroline Dean Lindsey, and a fourth child who is to arrive in December. He was very excited to learn he would be a daddy again.

Also surviving are siblings, Michael and Marvi Lindsey of Riverside, Ala., Rhonda and Jim Marino of Excel, Ala., and Donna and Stacy Kelly of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and nieces and nephews, Scott and Amy Woolfolk, Hudson Lindsey, Sydney Marino, Cameron Kelly, Tanner Kelly, Lindsey Kelly, Georgia Lindsey, Megan Krueger, Emma Krueger, Stacy Darby, Tommy Darby, Susan Darby, Melanie Darby, Jake Cooper, Lauren Cooper and Hayley Cooper.

Services will be Thursday, April 22, at 1 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Riley and Chris Holland officiating. The body will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, an account for "The Lindsey Girls" has been set up at Wachovia Bank.

Smith Funeral Home has charge of the service.

I did not know Mr. Lindsey; however, he goes to church with a dear friend of mine and she sent me a prayer request today. I wanted to let this family know that I will pray for you and your family during this tragic loss. May God Be With You.
