Candice Lynn Jackson Hayes was born on March 13,1978 to the parentage of the late Eloise Jackson and Cletus Crayton, Sr. in Baton Rouge, LA. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at St. James Parish Hospital.
Candice attended East Ascension High School. She married the love of her life and together they spent 25 years in heavenly bliss. Candice loved her family and was never afraid to speak her mind. She constantly reminded us who her momma was "Weezy."
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Kendrick Hayes Sr., one son, Kendrick Hayes Jr, (fiancee Khylar Sims) of Metaire, LA, three beautiful daughters, Kenyal Jackson, Anyreia and Aleighton Hayes, all of Gramercy, LA, two extended daughters: Janasia Schuster and Kaitlyn Ransom, four brothers: Cedric Johnson (LeShea) of Dutchtown, LA, DiCarlos Crayton, Kansas City, Kansas, Cletus Crayton Jr of Gulfport, Mississippi and Timothy Crayton of Texas. One granddaughter: Promise Unique, five aunts: Doris Darville, Sophie Hunt (Leroy), Valena Johnson, Lena Stehens all of Dutchtown, LA and Delores Johnson of Prairieville, LA. One sister in law; Rosa Lee Barney (Carl), three brothers in law: Paul Hayes (Angela), Kurt Hayes (Janell), and Bernard Hayes (Chaney) all of Gramercy, LA. Seven loving nieces: Alexia, Khadijah, and Brandi Jackson of Dutchtown, LA, Kaneesha Hayes, Gayneisha and Jayneisha Nelson and Kierra Hayes, of Gramercy, LA. Two nephews: Kedrick Knowles Johnson (Saisha), and Caleb Knowles Johnson. One great niece: Shylah Knowles Johnson, Godmother: Lois Riley, four Godchildren: Jythavious Howard, Zacicieah Jones, Carday Hayes Jr, and Amyri Johnson. Five special friends: DaQuan Smith, Ananda Stallworth, Nikki Morris, Nicole Ferdinand and Maquita Brown. Last and certainly not least, The Candy Crew: Tiki Jones, Dwanda Scott, Deidra Johnson, Demetrious Thomas, April Lanus, Tiffany Darville, and Shaqawana Cooper.
Candice is preceded in death by her parents: Eloise Jackson and Cletus Crayton Sr., one sister: CaTarsha "Tish" Jackson, maternal grandparents: Henry and Lena Johnson, Sr., two uncles: Henry Johnson Jr. and Ferdinand "Tiny" Johnson, two cousins: LeVal"Fish"Earl and Austin"Joe"Darville Jr., Father and mother-in-law: Bernard Sr., and Katie Hayes and two nephews: Jeremiah Nelson and Roddel Hayes.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
