Silent candles in the snow-Pounding hearts too filled to know-she rests now quiet safe from harm- Within her mother's loving arms. Rosey cheeks and star-filled hair describe the child that we compare-To one frail bird at last set free-To sing her songs-Just not for me. Aunt Reenie

Cara was one of my closets freinds, we would hang after school with brad and zack all the time at round lake, I couldn't beleive the news when I heard about Cara.Brad, Zack, and I were suppose to chill with her that day and instead we get bad news....I will miss her dearly.

I have known Cara for several years. She was such an amazing, unique girl. She was so creative and artistic! Her locker at CMS was decorated with all these cool little art projects that she made. I remember, in 8th grade, she gave us all a little bottle cap with a cool design on the inside as Christmas presents. Even her doodles during confirmation were really cool, and she had us all imitating her. She was so sweet. Some of the nicest things that anyone has ever said to me were things that came from her mouth. That is something that sticks with you. She was always so eager for adventure, and she was so daring. I remember when I would hear people in my class talking about a girl on the boy’s football team. Whenever I would hear that, I was reminded of how proud I was of her. She didn’t let anything get in the way of what she wanted to do. She was so much fun. I just loved to be around her; she would have me laughing in a matter of seconds. Cara was so unique and talented in many ways. She was such a blessing, and she has really touched my life. Cara and all the people she has touched will be in my prayers. I love you Cara, and you will be truly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss,
I knew Cara in 7th and 8th grade. She alwas came into class with rosey cheeks and a big smile. I sat next to her for a whole year and heard stories about how she played football with a bunch of guys. (i thought that was very brave of her) she had a great heart and mind.

I first met Cara in seventh grade geography. We were both in Crimson together and sat next to each other. At this time Cara always wore a ton of those "livestrong" kind of bracelets. It was always the joke about how many she could fit on her wrist at one time. I remember laughing with her and making fun of our teacher's choice in music while we worked (it was opera). She was also in my sign language class this quarter and last quarter. Unfortunately, I sat on the exact opposite side of the room from her. The last time I saw Cara was when we were playing out favorite game, elephant. I was in the final four with her, and she's really good at elephant! Cara didn't end up winning the game, but you could tell that she was having fun. She was such an amazing person and she will forever be missed.

I'm sorry to hear the loss of Cara, I didn't get to know her to well but she was in my 3rd and 4th hour class this year and she helped me so much when I didn't know what was going on when I heard the news I was absolutely shocked I remember Cara and I being the last 2 people standing when we played the elephant game in Mr. Walla's class, she was one of the kindest people I've ever met she always sat in the back corner of both classes listening to her ipod keeping to herself she was wonderful and my prayers go out to your family

My heart ripped into two when I heard this news. I have known cara for two years through American Sign Language class. She was a great signer, much better then me! A superstar at our elephant game we always play! I remember one time when we were doing a dialouge together, she said she would do the whole thing, and it took me by surprise. I had been so busy latley and she noticed. She was always there just to chat or whatever someone needed her for. She was a very great, genuine, nice, funny, and just all around great person. She put others first, always. I loved to look back at her seat in the corner and see her beautiful smile. She had a perfect smile that shined like the sun, eyes that glistened like the moon and stars and hair that fit her style perfectly. She was a terrific friend. Your family will be in my thoughts always. We all miss her terribly but as the song Who You'd Be Today by Kenney Chesney says "the only thing that gives me hope. Is I know, I'll see you again someday." Your family is in my thoughts and prayers everyday. RIP Cara, We all Miss YOU!!!

Cara was a wonderful girl and beautiful from the inside out.
I was in sign language with her and everyday I would scan the room and see who was in class. Everyone has their own spot and her's was in the corner, listening to her music with a smile on her face. The class feels empty now without her in that corner, lighting up the room with her smile.
I will miss her everyday. You are all in my thoughts and in my prayers. She was and will always be loved.

David & Phil,
Words fail to express how sorry I am for your loss of Cara. She will be so terribly missed. We have so many wonderful memories of her. I feel so blessed to had a visit with her this summer. I took her and Nat strawberry picking on a hot, sticky day, and will always remember Cara's determination and finally joy upon filling that basket full of berry's, despite the slim pickings and the flies! We had a beautiful day. We will never forget that week, Cara was such a special friend to Nat, she will live in her, and all of our hearts, forever.
Our thoughts are with you.
With my deepest sympathy, Jennifer

I was friends with Cara throughout 7th and 8th grade until I moved, along with Callie and Lauren. We always had fun times hanging at the Webers house or my basement...I'll never forget those moments. We had good times in confirmation and church activities. She always gave her best in football on the guys team and truly was a genuinely humble person. I will never forget her, and will keep your family in my prayers. Miss you Cara.

David and Phil,
I am so saddened to hear of your loss of Cara. I did not know her but I did know Sheila through the Gifted and Talented parent group. I always enjoyed and appreciated her perspective. My oldest daughter was in Phil's class and they were in several classes together throughout their school years. I hope that you find comfort in your memories of Cara and in knowing that she is at peace.

Although I didn't personally know Cara, I am also a Junior and Eden Prairie High School. It truly breaks my heart to hear this news, even though I never knew Cara on a personal level. It's hard for me to type this, and find the right words to say, but on behalf of the student body at Eden Prairie High School, I can say she will be missed and remembered forever.

Best of luck to her family, and sympathies from Cara's classmates.

We are so sorry to read of the loss of your beautiful daughter Cara. Words are not adequate. We know this as we lost our precious daughter Hailee this past August following a short illness. She was eleven years old. Although there are no words to comfort you, might we offer to you a suggestion. Keep talking about her. Bring her with you wherever you go, whatever you do. This seems to help us some and make us feel more normal at times, as odd as that sounds. May God Bless you and your family during this horrible time and know that our thoughts and prayers are shared with you.
Sincerely,
The family of Hailee LaMeyer

My heart goes out to your family for the loss of your daughter. I am so sorry for your loss. Forth hour class will never be the same! I remember interpreting for Mr. Walla when he would compliment her on her smile, her hair, her attitude, and many times her signing. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out. I will truly miss her.

Last Thursday, we were playing a game. Cara won third place. She jumped when we caught her making a mistake. She was laughing. Nina told her she felt so bad that Cara had to go. Cara smiled and said she won the game the last time. That was fine. I told her before she went home... that she had beautiful eyes. Sometimes I shared the stories about her hair and my wife's hair. They both have beautiful black wavy long hair. She is a great signer. I thought she would be an interpreter or working with deaf children. She loves learning American Sign Language. She is one of our best signers. We miss her so much. You both are in my prayers daily.
