Kara,
Please accept my deepest feelings of sympathy and empathy. I know that your family and I along with his high school classmates are feeling a sense of loss for a father and a long time friend.
It is my hope that you will remember mostly all of the good times you spent with your father and the thought that he has rejoined Boots.

Ray and Jim's friendship began when they were young and continued throughout Ray's lifetime. That friendship remained steadfast and strong. I met Ray through my husband Jim and quickly formed a friendship with both him and Boots. Ray taught me to play bridge which was no easy feat. He will be missed, however, the wonderful memories will be in our hearts forever.

Raymond was a good friend in high school and we had lots of fun.His parents were always good to us and supported us in everything. Raymond was very good to me when I had breast cancer. He called quite often and we would talk old times. He will be missed. Carolyn (Horner) Nichols

Kara, I knew your father long before you did. He was a classmate of mine in White Deer. He was a good friend. He will be missed by all of us. I'll see you Monday to express my love and sympathy for you. He is happy and at peace now. Love and hugs, Julia McConnell

What great memories our class has from our high school days. Not only was Raymond our friend, but he was a big worker to help our class raise money for our senior trip to Colorado Springs. (He was probably highly encouraged by his dad, J. R. who was one of our class sponsors! Ha!) Fortunately, our friendship continued 60 years. Yes, we've shared many 'coffee talks". So long, my friend, until we meet again. Amy Durning-Clemens-Cooper

I always enjoyed the smile and laugh of Uncle Ray. I especially appreciated the open door of his home when I was in Texas during college; nice to have a place to rest when my home was too far to make in a weekend. I am sure he is enjoying the reunion of the others that have left before him including my dad. I just hope they don't get into trouble! Cousins my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. God's peace and blessings to you all!

Kara,
My deepest condelences. I read the article about your Dad. Seems like he enjoyed his time here. Know you'll miss him madly but you will have wonderful recollections to share with your child about grandpa.

A pleasure to meet you once, but known better through your daughter who always spoke highly of you and cherished the time you were here. I know you are treasuring the Glory in front of you now while longing for the day your loved ones will join you. God bless your family in this time of loss.

“As one navigates through life we meet a tremendous amount of people, the majority of whom can be only be defined by that moment in time. However, we are blessed now and then when we meet such a person such as Ray Driskill. I consider myself blessed to have met and befriended Ray Driskill. He enriched my life and I am a better person as a result of our friendship.

I know you are enjoying your eternal life with your Bootsie, brother, and parents. I will always remember our wonderful days of sailing and snow skiing. When your new grand baby arrives they will know who what a wonderful man their grandpa was. Miss and love you so much!
