Carl Everett East, 73, of LaBelle, Texas passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010. Carl was born in Port Arthur, Texas. He attended high school in Port Neches and Nederland and graduated in 1956 from Nederland High School. He was a resident of LaBelle for 40 years and was self employed, retiring in 2003 after 44 years of service from his dump truck business. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fannett. Survivors include his wife, Betty J. East; five daughters, Katherine Cormier and husband, Carey Cormier, Carla Rocha and husband, Rudy Rocha, Donna Marcotte and husband, Dwight Marcotte, Jennifer Graham, and Jane Funk; one son, Stephen Graham and wife, Marjory; sister, Joan Shelburne; brother, Guy W. East; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; numerous friends and relatives. Carl was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette Caillier East; parents, Nolan Joan East and Lucille Loupe East Miller; and sister, Glenda Watts. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Joseph Kattakkara officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday evening from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. with a Rosary Service conducted at 7:00p.m. at the funeral home. Friends wishing may send memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
