Carl Palmer passed away at Conway Medical center after a septic infection peacefully on Christmas Day 2022 at the young age of 58. Carl was born in Kingston, NY on January 28,1964.
He is survived by his former wife / life partner Christine Brockmeier, his step daughter Kayla O’Donnell, his step son Christopher Seger Jr, three grand children Harlow Seger, Bernadette Odonnell, and Grayson Seger, and his two brothers Ike Palmer and Doug Palmer. He is predeceased by both of his parents Janet Yetzer Palmer and David Palmer.
Carl was a 1983 graduate of Onteora High School and Bocies Technology. After high school he spent the next 20 yrs working for Model Optics of Woodstock. Carl resided in West Hurley NY until he met his former wife Christine in 1998. He remained in Ulster County until 2008. Carl and Christine stayed extremely close after their marriage was mutually dissolved after 15 yrs. Carl helped raise Christine’s two children Kayla O’Donnell and Christopher Seger Jr. as if they were his own children. He taught them to drive, love the outdoors ,taught them about cars, and most importantly about being good people.
Carl loved his dogs Reese’s , May and Happy more than anything. He will always be remembered for his huge heart, always ready willing and able to give the shirt off his back even to strangers.
Carl moved to The Myrtle Beach area in 2008 where he remained for the next 14 yrs. Carl was loved by many especially his NY friends. Carl will be missed eternally as he has made a significant impact on this who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on January 22,2023 @ 2 PM at the Kingston Elks lodge 550, 143 Hurley Ave , Kingston , NY for friends and loved ones to gather in celebration of a life well lived.

So sorry to hear of Carls passing I was his half sister ..Dave Palmer was my Dad from his first marriage. He was a typical younger brother always giving me a hard time LOL. I haven’t seen him since dads funeral but happy to hear he grew up to be a good man! R.I.P. my brother❤

We have so many memories. My heart is forever broken.For over 22 yrs you were a deep part of my life. You are missed terribly. I promise you I will make sure your fur babies stay together and are loved. I know what they meant to you. You did so much for me and my kids. I miss our multiple times a day phone calls. I miss your crazy words.. and sense of humor. I know you made it to heaven because your heart was huge! I am so thankful that after we decided to divorce we became even closer.
