Carl Raney Obituary
He was an underground cable splicer for Arkansas Power and Light for 35 years before his retirement. Carl was a member of the International Brothers of Electrical Workers, and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending summers in Pagosa Springs, CO and also elk hunted there.
Preceding him in death are his parents; three sisters; three brothers; and a daughter, Tammy Raney.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Howell Raney; daughter, Melinda Raney; son, Lloyd Raney, Jr. all of El Dorado; brother, Herschel D. Raney (Pat) of Sherwood; and sister-in-law, Linda Johnson (Freddie) of Springfield, AR.
A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Young's Chapel with Rev. Sye Duke officiating. Cremation services were entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.

Hazel Street will never be the same without Carl. However the impact he made on our lives as neighbors will live in our hearts as long as we breathe. His love, kind heart, generosity and helpfulness was appreciated in our household and we will miss him along with you Carolyn, Lloyd, and Melinda.
Going to my storage house will have a deep void in not looking to see if Carl in on his patio ready to greet me.
