Carmela M. Ammirato

AMMIRATO- Carmela, M. (nee Gallo), age 87, on August 16, 2013. Born in Paterson she resided in Hawthorne for 53 years. Prior she lived in Paterson and Madison. She was a proud wife, mother and homemaker. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony's RC Church in Hawthorne and a member of The Rosary Society. She was active with The Golden Horizon club. She was predeceased by her caring brothers, Anthony and Louis Gallo and her sister Anna Savino. She was also predeceased by her loving grandson Michael. Survivors include her loving husband Anthony J. Ammirato of Hawthorne, her beloved children, Thomas Ammirato and companion Diana of West Caldwell and her daughter Veronica , Linda Mendrys and husband Dean of Midland Park and Rosemarie Ambrose and husband John of Wyckoff. There are seven cherished grandchildren, Michelle, Anthony, Alyssa, Dean, John, Nicholas and Matthew surviving. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 9:30 am at St. Anthony's RC Church, Hawthorne. ( Please meet at church) Visiting hours are private .Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
