Carmela TIETZE Obituary
April 28, 1958 – October 26, 2016
It is with deep sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend known to us all as Carm. She was determined to meet the end with grace and dignity. Carm was born in Albi, Catanzaro, Italy, came to Calgary in 1960. Carm is survived by her husband, Peter; her daughter, Gina (Ward) and her son, Carl. Also by her brothers, Nick (Lori), Sam (Connie), and her sister, Teresa (Guy), niece and nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Antonio and Giovanna DeMare. One of her many passions was the Calgary Stampeders and she has been a season ticket holder for 20+ years. She loved to bake for anyone who would eat her delicious treats and she worked in the Bakery at Calgary Co- Op for many years. She will be sadly missed and will be forever in our hearts. A Funeral Service will be held at Eden Brook Funeral Home (Lower Springbank Road & 17th Ave. S.W.) on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so prior at 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.edenbrookcemetery.ca. Arrangements entrusted to EDEN BROOK FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 24223 Twp Rd 242, Calgary, AB, T3Z 3K2.

I remember Carm in elementary and junior high school to have a good heart and excellent sense of humor. I am sorry to see her go but know that she will be bringing fun to all the angels in heaven. oxoxo

Carmen, I am so sad to hear of your passing. You have the warmest heart, sweetest smile, mightiest laugh and the twinkle in your eyes always warned me that you were up to no good! I am so glad I got to work with you for a short time, you always made my day! (I would sneak over to visit and try to get the best of you, but you always won!) My deepest condolences to your family. May you rest in peace sweet lady. You will be missed deeply.
