Carmen Aduna Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 19, 2023.
Carmen Aduna, born Carmen Villaruel on July 16, 1934, in Hilongos, Leyte, Philippines, peacefully passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 89 in Salt Lake City, UT, after a long battle with dementia. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Carmen was loved by many and known for her infectious smile. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Carmen had a green thumb and her roses were legendary to the point where strangers would knock on the door inquiring about them. She also had a love for sports, particularly tennis, golf, and football, and would often watch matches with great enthusiasm. She found great joy in visiting friends and family, and always welcomed them with her generosity.

Carmen is survived by her children Oseas Jr., Jay and Charmaine (Scott); grandchildren Alyssa, Madison, Asia, Gracelyn, Ellaria, and Archer, She is also survived by her sister Lucia as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Oseas Sr; her father, Hilario; her mother Honoria; and her siblings, Epifania Gadiano, Emilio, Genoveva, Alfredo, Francisco, Epifania, Necitas, and Ariston.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Intermountain Hospice as well as Highland Care Center for their compassionate care to both my mom and our family. Carmen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.

Funeral services will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 11:00 am. Following the service, Carmen will be interred at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery and Mortuary.

I will always remember Auntie Carmen“s infectious laugh! During her time here in San Francisco with my Uncle Onsing, both are a part of my childhood memories as loving family members who always showed tremendous love and support.
