I remember her earning many track and field awards and playing other hight school sports as well and doing her best to complete a her highest level of competition as well. She was a very nice person and spoke to mostly everyone in our school she was caring and giving as well, and had a sincere of humor as well.

She would visit our neighbor John which now has knuddle. We enjoy seeing knuddle and it is very different not seeing Carmen. She was very well liked and very friendly person. I am glad I had the honor of meeting her. RIP our friend

Carmen's friendship and giving, caring personality will be missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to have her as a part of our lives. I still can't really believe she's gone--but I also know that the impact she had on so many lives (clients, customers, family, friends) lives on as does the laughter and love she brought to us all. We are all of us alive as long as we live on in the memories of our loved ones...in that way Carmen will never be truly gone.

Carmen was a dear friend and Co-Worker at WCHHS. Even after her retirement in 2018, we continued to chat on social media. I enjoyed seeing Carmen post about her travels and express her love for her daughter, Chloe and her fur baby Knuddle. Definitely will miss talking/sharing with my dear friend. We last messaged on May 4th, just days prior to her passing and she was encouraging me, which was so much "Carmen" . Rest in heaven.

I was in the CHS class of 1986. I knew Carmen however we were not close- different classes etc.. still friends because she was friends with everyone she met!
I was so shy. She was NOT . I wanted to be more like her and be free to be myself. In high school I couldn´t, however I took that feeling to UNCC and went with it. I´ve never forgotten her even though I left Concord and never moved back. My favorite memory is a a dance after a football game- I was in the band.. I saw her dancing like no one was watching before I even heard that statement. She was freely herself.

Saints of God, come to her aid!
Come to meet her, angels of the Lord!
Receive her soul and present her to God the Most High.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her and may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Carmen will be missed . She was a very kind, loving person. Carmen was extremely proud of her daughter, Chloe.
