I am one of the babies that Carmen helped to babysit and yes, she was instrumental in helping me in my formative years. My mother found Carmen when I was just 6 months old, and being raised in Carmen´s house was a joy and one full of love and happiness. I was there when Adolfo passed, when Ruben was learning at Rafer Johnson, saw Glenda practice singing at the Tam O´Shanter.. went to Irma´s wedding with my parents, saw Armando´s first day in Corrections and had the opportunity to see Sylvia enter a new career path out of school. So many beautiful memories of mine, are those with Carmen and the Robles family. She is an angel, and one I hope to see in Heaven one day. I will always be grateful for my time with Carmen and the Robles´ family.

I remember coming home from Elementary school looking forward to her afternoon coffee break. She would let me get one slice of bread, so I could dip small pieces into her coffee cup to enjoy.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to the whole family. It has been many years since I lived in Bakersfield but in high school she always made me feel welcome and part of the family.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I did not know your mom, but she always made Tom feel like part of the family and he enjoyed spending time with all of you. You will always carry your memories of her with you.
God bless each and every one of you.
