I loved the Carol Duvall show; but, mostly, I loved Carol. The combination of her wit and enthusiasm made me feel confident that I could do anything. I learned how to fold books from washi paper, make polymer clay beads and dozens of crafts that were both vintage and modern. She was an inspiration to many. I will always be thankful to Carol for giving me the confidence to be creative.

Just now learning Carol has passed through The Golden Membrane. I wondered what she had been doing, and assumed she was on streaming TV, which I don't have. I loved her HGTV show so much! Most of all, I loved her joyful influence. R.I.P. dear person.

Is this the Carol Duvall that had the Carol Duvall show on HGTV? If it is, this makes me so very sad. My kids and I would record her show and watch it every day when we get home from school and work. But if it is her, I'm sure she teaching the angels in heaven how to use mod podge and a million other crafts.

I did not know Carol had went to that big craft room in the heavens. I loved watching her shows every day. I was lucky enough to join her on a crafting cruise that she hosted! What an experience! Had my picture taken with her and she signed my craft tote. It will be treasured for years. Bless your heart Carol...loved but not forgotten.

Carol left us all with such a legacy of creative expression. Before the days of YouTube she was the source for our information, instruction and inspiration. Carol's warm and sincere inner self shined through with each show and guest. All these years later, so many of us are still searching her out as we hit the time in our lives when we can embrace all those projects she primed us to attempt. With great sadness, we stumble on to her obituary, we begin our own grieving process for the woman we thought of as friend and mentor. For so many, who never met her in person, to carry her on in our hearts is such a beautiful legacy for her family to have from her life.

I was one of the lucky director's on her show. She was a warm and wonderful host and charmed every guest we had on the show. A top professional and a fabulous creative talent. We all loved Carol and were grateful every day for her presence. May you rest in beautiful peace. Much love.

I grew up as a child watching her "5 minute craft" shows. She had made these candy holder cups with arms wrapped around the cup and a head - we made them to look like a bride and used them at my bridal show.
It was because of her I became a life long crafter in many different areas.

I’m so sad to hear that she is gone. She was such an inspiration in my life and i learned so many craft techniques from her shows. I lived in Brazil from 1998 to 2002 and my sister in New Orleans would record all the Carol Duvall shows and send them to me. Those were some precious gifts to me that i will never forget. I just hope Carol had a great life after she retired. Though we never met, i feel she was a friend to me. I even dreamed that i went to her house once to do some crafting with her, LOL!

my family were next door neighbors of Carols in Rosedale Park, Detroit back in the day. As a child when my mother had to do errands, she would baby sit me. She would make cookies, popsicles and practice all sorts of recipes out on the neighborhood kids. Think she taught me how to macramé, don't know who else to credit and how I am so good at it. Every housewife in the neighborhood had to step up their game to keep up with her. Martha Stewert had nothing on her she was the original. Thank you for all the great childhood memories, love you Rosedale Park.

Carol has always been an inspiration to me and my friends. If one of us missed her show on TV we would call someone to find out what her show was about that day. I love all the things she did on her show and still make a lot of things she taught. Her wire Angel, we have made hundreds of them. One Christmas we made one for everyone in a nursing home. Some of these people did not have any family, so went every month to visit and take them a little something. They didn't have much room for personal items, so the little angels were perfect. Some of the ladies ask for more then one. Carol was one of the greatest crafters and she was fun to watch. She has been missed since her retirement and she will be remembered in our hearts and prayers.
