Carol Ann Ouillette, 86, of Jewett City, passed away on October 25, 2022 at the Backus Hospital. Carol loved to travel, with some of her favorite trips being to Cuba, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Russia. Closer to home, she and her husband Donald treasured their annual trips to Maine and upon retirement, their winters in Naples, FL.

I just read this . I’m so sorry to hear this I have so many fond memories of Carol, the pool, the candy drawer, and girls only parties with my children. My mom
and Carol were friends for many many years.

It is true that she was my only kindergarten teacher but she was also my favorite. A gentle and kind but firm classroom presence. Generations of students started their academic journey with her. We are all better for it.

Carol was such a dear friend and outstanding
colleague in my years at Lisbon Central School . Her sense of humor and kind demeanor was always with her . In 2000 she officiated at our wedding in Essex and we still enjoy watching our wedding video with her in the gazebo uniting us in matrimony on the bank of the CT river .
Carol will always be remembered with joy and love.
