Thinking of you in your time of loss. Carol was such a kind, caring, energetic and giving person. I have often thought of her and your family over the years since moving from Thunder Bay. May God's peace rest with you at this time.

You have your wings now little sister. Freedom from all your pain. I am left behind to miss you everyday for the rest of my life. When mom brought you home from the hospital the day you were born, you smiled at me and I held your hand. I knew then nothing and no one could ever break that bond. I am heartbroken but love never dies. Enjoy your new journey. We will meet again. Your big sister, Dianne.

I really can't call Carol my sister-in-law as she was more of a sister. We were all young and grew up together over the past 60 years sharing good times and bad. When Carol married Ron, we welcomed him into our tight knit family. We would all hang out together whenever we visited each other. Our trip of a lifetime was to Greece where we enjoyed the beauty, Peter and Joy's hospitality, eating the delicious food and, of course, Ron and I carrying the bags while our two beautiful wives shopped till they dropped. She was so loved and words can't describe the loss that is felt.

My Aunt Carol was a kind and wise soul. The kind of woman who rebelled just enough, but showed compassion. She once taught me how and when to stand up to bullies when I was young. I may not have agreed with her always, however, Carol “walked the walk” in terms of her faith and convictions part of her personality I truly respected.
I will always remember her and my Mom (Dianne) giggling and talking late into the night. Perhaps solving the mysteries and madness's of life, or just maybe having a good old chat and laugh. For this nephew, that silence is deafening, however, those happy times will live on in my memory forever.
I will miss my Auntie Carol, my heart breaks for her family left behind. The world will seem emptier without her.
