News Death Notice

SHEARER, Carol Ann Mrs. Carol Ann Shearer, 69, passed away Sunday, November 9th at her residence. She was born on December 31, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee and was brought into the home of her parents; John Marion and Rethel Louise (nee Pentecost) Kellems in Greenville, Kentucky and would later relocate to Middletown, Ohio in the mid 1950s. She married Clifford Shearer on September 4, 1964 and would raise three children, two of her own and her only grandchild. Carol was loved by her family, friends and neighbors being the neighborhood mom and grandma. And she was known best for her kind soul and positive nature. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Carol Shearer, her son, Kevin Clifford Shearer and her granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Shearer all of Middletown. Two brother in laws, Allen Shearer and Blaine Deaton and one sister in law, Darlene Shearer, cousins; Shirley Clevenger, Sue Gilbert, Jackie McFarland, Diana McIntyre and Charles Durall and best friend, Shirley Klapper. And several nieces and nephews who all loved their Aunt Carol very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her stepmother Rethel Elizabeth Kellems, a niece Becky Shearer and a sister in law, Luana Shearer Deaton. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Saturday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend James Anderson officiating.
